That was how the Struhans defined themselves as a family. I would add in awesome as well, in so many ways: Michael, a father who is comfortable in his own skin (you should’ve seen the ease and grace with which he exhibited for the photos – he just knew where to be and where to fit with his family), Dayle, a passionate mother who loves her family so much (you can see it in the way she moves around them and is with each of her loves), big sister Devanee, who has more energy than the energizer bunny (I’m sure I lost 10 lbs) and whom I was informed was quiet (I must have brought out the storm, haha), to baby sister Ashley, who is the calm to big sister’s ‘storm’ (in a good way) and looks up to her so. Amongst all the running around, tickles, throwing leaves in the air, looking at every single airplane that flew by (which enthralled Ashley immensely), to just playing together and being, the Struhans exuded a calm and enduring love.
Aside from being out of breath and looking completely out of shape, I had a ton of fun with them. To the Struhans, thank you for letting me into a small chapter of your lives and not judging me for my lack of breath!
